We pay back to our ham radio hobby further by providing a worthy student/ham radio operator with college financial aid. BARC provides academic scholarship awards to any licensed ham in Boulder or Broomfield County under the age of 25 in any accredited institute in an undergraduate course of study. The Larry Amann (K5TQN) / Yardley Beers (WØJF) Memorial Scholarship Fund is an endowment fund and is made possible by gifts from the BARC Club, the BARC Juniors and additional donations presented by individual members and outside benefactors.
Donations can be made to BARC and may be tax exempt to this 501 (c)3 scholarship fund.
The 2009 Larry Amann / Yardley Beers Memorial (BARC) Scholarship recipient this year is Kevin Johnk, KCØYLY and was awarded at the Annual BARC Picnic Meeting on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009. CONGRATULATIONS!
