Welcome to our web site!
WE ARE AN AMATEUR
TELEVISION GROUP INTERESTED IN LIVE OR RECORDED
VIDEO TRANSMISSION. WE HAVE REPEATERS IN
SEVERAL QUADRANTS TO RELAY THE VIDEO SIGNALS TO
THOSE INTERESTED. ALL YOU NEED TO RECEIVE OUR
VIDEO IS A CABLE READY TV WITH AN OUTSIDE ANTENNA.
SET THE TV SET TO CABLE CHANNEL 57. AIM YOUR
ANTENNA IN THE DIRECTION OF LAUREL REGIONAL HOSPITAL.
OR IF YOU LIVE IN THE BALTIMORE AREA, YOU CAN
RECEIVE ON CABLE CHANNEL 60 AND AIM YOUR OUTSIDE
ANTENNA AT THE GOOD SAM HOSPITAL (BRATS REPEATER).
Thanks to Gene
W3BAB ( a Silent Key) for designing the CATS ATV logo.
RIP
The CATS club meets on the second Saturday
each month either at the
National Electronics Museum
at 1745 West Nursery Road, Linthicum, MD 20190 or
at the
Laurel Emergency Operations Center, 8103 Sandy
Spring Road, Laurel, MD 20707
at 9:00 AM, unless it is
prearranged to meet elsewhere. (Advance notice is
given via our nets and email to the members).
Each Wednesday night at 9 PM there is a net using
the CATS TV Repeater for video.
The input frequency
of the CATS repeater is 434.0 MHz with an output
of 421.25 MHz (analog cable channelL 57) at 60+ watts
(Horizontally polarized), and until
further notice, 146.760 MHz for voice (the WA3DZD
Repeater in Jessup, Md.)
((We sometimes, when necessary, change
to the 147.030 MHz repeater in Baltimore for
voice.))
Also utilized in the more Northern Anne Arundel
county and Baltimore Areas is the Brats TV repeater (W3WCQ).
We use this primarily for our nets. It has
426.25 MHz as input and 439.25 MHz as output.
(Vertically polarized) (analog cable channel 60).
The
BRATS ATV repeater output is linked into the CATS
Laurel repeater by NY3K.
This site will be under construction for a while
until enough information is gathered such as
photographs etc.
Thanks to the many people who contributed money and
equipment for the various repeaters.
