Hi,
I asked the same question sometime in March, but
received no answer. I have always routed PCI signals
in a daisy-chain. I was curious to know if others have
delivered successful & reliable board-designs by using
some other topology for routing the PCI BUS.
As of now, I can only say that loads should be evenly
spaced on the PCI bus.
Please refer to the following article for another
style of routing the PCI bus:
Treat Circuit Boards as Design Components in PCI-based
Systems by Jim Murashige, EDN Magazine, 11/23/94.
Awaiting your comments.
Regards,
Chandan
