On July 19, 2022 due to the failure of the K4USD cBridge server, our DMR repeater has not been on the world wide network for an extended period. Our users all agreed that we needed to make a change. We decided to switch to the Brandmeister DMR system. Brandmeister is the biggest DMR network system. Unfortunately the two system’s talkgroups are slightly different. We had to make some changes in the talkgroups available to users. As a result, all users should reprogram their DMR radios for the different talkgroup/time slot arrangement.
Below is the new talkgroup setup for time slots 1 and 2
Time Slot 2:
*Ohio State talkgroup 3139 - On all the time
*Local 2 cluster - On all the time -
this is connected full time to the other repeaters in SW Ohio,
and the SW Ohio Local 31394 talkgroup
*Local 9 – On all the time - only keys up our local W8BLV repeater
- No other talkgroups should be used on time slot 2. Your radios should be able to use the above three talkgroups on time slot 2 without reprogramming.
Time Slot 1:
All other talkgroups must use time slot 1,
and are push to talk (PTT) activated. Otherwise, it’s quiet.
Below are the suggested talkgroups for you to program into your radio on time slot 1.
There are many others that you can program in and use .
*Ohio TAC 31390 talkgroup
*USA Bridge 3100 talkgroup
*TAC 310 talkgroup
*TAC 311 talkgroup
*TAC 312 talkgroup
*TAC 313 talkgroup
*World Wide 91 Brandmeister talkgroup
*North America 93 Brandmeister talkgroup
*Echo/Parrot 9990 Brandmeister test -
configure as a private call or it won't work
*AMSAT 98006 Brandmeister talkgroup
*NETS 31001 Brandmeister scheduled nets talkgroup
*NETS 31002 Brandmeister scheduled nets talkgroup
- To listen in on the above time slot 1 talkgroups, you must select it in your radio and press the PTT button. It will then stay connected for 15 minutes after the last time it is keyed up on our repeater. Be courteous and listen in on the time slot before using it, to be sure someone else hasn't been using a talkgroup.
Note: The AMSAT net is Wednesdays at 10 pm; a timer will turn it on about 9:30. We may add other nets if there is a need.

Note: We lost access the following talkgroups that are only on the old K4USD system: DMR-MARC Midwest, DMR-MARC N. America TG3, DMR-MARC World Wide TG. These will not work on our repeater now.
