Satellite Station – Nothing to report at this time.

Antenna Rotor – Need to get into the rotor case.

K3M Special Event Certificates – The certificates have not been mailed out.  Club members expressed concern that the reputation of our club will be harmed by the slowness of our response.   Old Business

Field Day Planning – We totaled 2,650 contacts.  We had some competition this year.  A commentary on our operations was sent out Saturday night on 20M at 1:30am Zulu.

Operator Schedule for Worldwide Net – Operators are needed for the Worldwide Net on Wednesday nights.

Remote Repeater Receiver in Georgetown/Leander Area – We have three lengths of Rhone tower for the remote receiver.  We’re working on the ground antenna and the Super Stationmaster.

Light the Night Event – Members were reminded of the volunteer opportunities for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event in September.  This is a night 3-mile Walk for Life event and radio support for health and welfare is needed.  The Austin event is scheduled for Saturday, September 15 and will held around the Town Lake area.  The San Marcos event is scheduled for Sunday, September 23 at City Park.  Volunteers will be needed from about 6:00pm – 9:30pm.  Debbie will provide more details about this event, including a map to scale.

New Business

3M’s 100th anniversary will occur in 2002.  Do we want a special event?  If so, we need to start soon.  Will the St. Paul radio club be willing to host the event?

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:00 pm.
