MORSE CODE REQUIREMENT
It is quite redundant to have Morse code requirement to get the licence unless except one is going to use only that. If it is well known the the equipment used will be a voice transmitting one, instead of gradually phasing out Morse, it needs to be completely abolished.

I would suggest that the morse code requirement be completely done away with especially in the present era where various other equally efficacious mode of communication is in practice.

Code speed requirements can be reduced to 5WPM. It should not be eliminated.

licence without code can not be accepted. like wise restricted grade should be abolished. It is a real punishment hearing these restricted grade fellows operating on vhf esp. on repeaters.

Morse Code speed should remain the same as before for Grade I & Advanced exams.

Qualifying examinations should be tougher so that the hobby is pursued by talented and genuinely interested persons only. The spread of ham radio has nothing to do with numbers.
