Final Year B.E. Project:
" MODEM FOR COMPUTING AT RADIO FREQUENCY "
This Modem is designed and tested for the purpose of long distance Wireless personal communication system ( P. C. S ) used to connect many remote computers without the help of any physical medium but Air or Ionosphere. Here the concept of wireless communication is used, this is a extention of the existing device, the picture transmission, Morse code and rtty hardware are all integrated into one modem. Long distance or communication across the globe is possible with this modem. This modem is also used to receive images from weather satellites, which send weather data in the form of pictures to earth. The operation of Modem was successfully demonstrated between two computers located in different laboratories in department.
Project Undertaken:
"Control of Lab Fermenter using MOTOROLA 68HC705P6A Microcontroller "
This project is undertaken for Murhophi Scientific Company, Mysore, as part of the "Discover an Inventor" contest-99 by Motorola India Ltd. In this project the controlling of the fermenter is done using the Microcontroller 68HC705P6A. Here we control Temperature, pH, Dissolved oxygen, Dissolved Carbon-di-oxide and Antifoam control. These are required for the Yeast and other fermentable materials to grow in a controlled environment. For this project the existing PID controllers are replaced by the microcontroller. LCD displays are provided for the display of various parameters and matrix keyboard for required inputs, making the fermenter simple and easy to use.
