My Station

        I lived in Tseung Kwan O since 1999. I like to live here so much. My home is faced to South East direction. I can see the Po Toi Island and Wagian Island very clearly on the sunny day.

My antenna

        In the above photo, There are two antennas. Diamond CR-6 ( the horizontal one ) is for 50MHz DX. Although it is just in the wavelength of 1/5 on 6m band, it helped me to work more than 50 different countries from 1997 to 2000. I used it with my Yaesu FT-736R, my homemade 6m band 100W linear amplifier and the Timewave DSP-599ZX. It did a very good job in the PY6WO in Brasil and ZP6CW in Paraguay QSO. Both two stations are so far away from my side for around 19000km. On the other hand, the Maldol AS-510 ( the vertical one ) is connected to the Uniden UBC9000XLT for VHF & UHF signal monitoring.

         In the next photo, there is my homemade 50MHz L-type dipole. Now I used it for 6m band DX. It can transfer my signal to more than 20 countries in Europe, ZD7MY in St. Helena Island in Atlantic Ocean & LU2NI in Argentine. It can handle a very high power rating without any SWR shift.

        Diamond SG-7900 can provide a high antenna gain, good stability of SWR during high power handing and good performance of water resist. I always use it for local call as well as the long distance contact.

        In above photo, there are two antennas. Diamond HV-7 ( the vertical one ) is for HF, 6m, 2m & 70cm bands monitoring. The mono pole ( the horizontal one ), I like to use it with my Tecsun short wave radio for broadcast listening.

         It is a long wire antenna form with a fishing rod. I use it to work the 20m, 17m & 15m bands DX. The signal will have a large improve during comparing with the Diamond HV-7. But it has a disadvantage for reinstall it again during use. Also, it most be use with my antenna tuner MFJ-989 to correct the impedance matching. Although it will take so much trouble, sometimes it give me a lot of fun. I have an experience to work K3ZO in USA on 20m band by my IC-756 100W bear foot with this partner. The signal report is 57.

         It is a 409MHz 1/4 wavelength ground plane antenna. I made it for my family radio system. 409MHz band is now release in Hong Kong for any person with license free. I always talk with my neighborhood in our district on this band.
