Do It Yourself

Transverter

2.4GHz to 144MHz down converter.

This is the 2.4GHz to 144MHz down converter which is modify from a satellite TV down converter by Drake 2880. I used this converter for the AO-40 Phase 3D amateur satellite 2.4GHz down link receive. I modify this converter for more than 10pcs. The transvertion gain is around 26dB to 32dB during -100dBm RF signal input. The noise figure is also improve after insert the Mini-circuit MMIC. It works so fine for the readable data signal around S2 to S4 came out from my FT-817 during used a 16 turns homemade helix and S9 with a 1.8m dish by VR2XMT Charlie.
