Wow... I THINK we just had a brief QSO on 17M, hi hi, but you were on the same frequency that TI8II was calling CQ on and trying to work simplex, so it was tough to hear who was talking to who. Larry, Nice to work you on 30m CW tonight. I was running 4 watts to a vertical on the side of the house. I am 4 blocks from the Hudson River and about 200 ft above it though, so I suppose the 3 miles of salt water to be crossed helps. Enjoy the bands, cu agn soon. Randy AA2U

I hope that your having a great time over there. Enjoy it as much as you can cause i did while i was there back in 1998 as VQ9RU and i tell you that i miss that place from the bottom of my heart. I live in a townhouse and wkd u while sitting in my recliner, with my IC746 sitting beside me on a TV tray. My antenna is a very small High Sierra 1800 PRO sitting on a small tri-pod out on the sidewalk in front of my home. Wife not happy with the coax running out the front door or the Association who tried to shut me down even though I received permission to set the station up. So I was very happy to have wrkd you with a 100 watts and this modest set-up. You made my day Larry and will send you a QSL for sure. My QTH is abt 15 SSE of Minneapolis in Dakota County, (Rosemount, Minnesota) It was on a Saturday (8-27-2005) at 3PM local time here and it was Sunday at 6AM your time WOW! Also meant to mention your great looking LP. I have one I designeg and built for 7-60 MHz. 15 elements on 45 foot boom. ' Love it for all band operation with one rotator and one tower (100 feet) even though 5 or 6 element yagis would probably have more gain.
