About Me

I have been a "Ham" since 1998. I hold the calls VO1CBS and VO1DI, currently. I have also held VY0CW(2000-2002) when I lived and worked in Nunavut. I enjoy operating mostly in CW mode, but do spend a little time using SSB on 80m. I also operate 2m FM and 2M Packet(VO1CBS@VO1GAN.#CNF.NL.CAN.NOAM). I have been married to my wonderful wife, Karen /VO1KES,since 1996, and we have two children, Kassandra(1997) and Samantha(2002). They are a little young for the "Ham Bug" yet, but there is hope, HI HI.

My wife and I are both members of the local radio club, Baccalieu Amateur Radio Klub Inc., and I am also a member of Radio Amateurs of Canada. I enjoy the club scene and it keeps me active in the community. I hold a volunteer position with RAC as an Emergency Coordinator for my local area. I spend a lot of my free time in persuit of new members of our ARES group.
