Laptop Problems

A PSU for one of the logging laptops died on Saturday.

The third laptop that was on the catamaran interfaced to the satellite phone

is now used for logging in the ops tent.  Some CT BIN files for some QSOs

have yet to be retrieved so that the logs are completely up to date.

There is no need to e-mail asking about your specific QSO, as the

crew is aware of "missing" log entries and is looking into the situation.

Mandatory exploration duties around the Reef will be finished off today.

Mellish Reef is highly sought after and the dogpiles are huge !

Good operating practices from you will help the team to get through

as many QSOs as possible. Please listen to the VK9ML operator.

Europeans (in particular) are ignoring what the operators are saying and

causing unnecessary QRM.  If we give directional CQs then only call

when your area is being called.

Although conditions were very good on 10M and 20M yesterday the team

have advised that they will spend some time today working Europe on 15M.
