Palm Valley. Palm Valley is in the Finke River National Park area, about one hundred kilometres (100 km) west of Alice Springs. This is a truly remarkable area as the area surrounding is "semi-arid" with little-to-no rain. This picture was taken about a week to two weeks following a fairly good rain in the area and there was quite a bit of water that had been collected. The Cabbage Palms are unique as they are only found in the Palm Valley area. |

Palm Valley. Another view. With the red rocks on the left-hand side of the picture, one realizes that you are never to far away from the remainder of the area -- the "Red Centre". |
