UHF CB is very popular in the Barossa Valley as many wineries use this system to communicate. A lot of families also use CB to communicate locally, also accessing local repeaters to extend their range.

UHF CB's are available from various manufactures. Mainly GME & Uniden, but you can also get ICOM and cheap handheld units.
I prefer GME electrophone over a Uniden UHF CB. I make this choice because the GME units are tough, rugged, packed with features, audio of excellent quality, and most of all they don't brake the budget.
