What is AARNIE?

AARNIE is an online resource for Australian Amateur Radio Clubs to post their club newsletters and events.

AARNIE is and email newsgroup that allows large and small clubs alike to promote their club Australia wide. Promoting your club will allow others who may be travelling through, or considering moving to, your town, to stop by for a visit or perhaps join your club.

What are the benefits?

Some of the benefits of using AARNIE are:

• Open to all Amateur Radio Clubs
• A cheap efficient way of getting your newsletter out to potentially thousands of Radio Amateurs and other interested people instantly.
• Promote your club to a wider audience than what you might normally achieve.
• No email list to maintain.
• No bounced messages to clog your in-box
• Less chance of YOUR personal email address getting blacklisted by a SPAM cop service
• Open to all Radio Clubs and Amateur Radio/ Electronics enthusiasts.
• The members list is closed to all but moderators I.E. not for public viewing - your details are protected

Who can post?

A delegated club executive or committee member may post their newsletter to this list and then have it distributed to all subscribers. Subscribers may include other clubs and/ or individual Radio Amateurs throughout the Australia.

Note that individuals not representing an Australian Amateur Radio club, may not post to this list. Likewise persons interested in Amateur Radio but who do not hold a call-sign are welcome to subscribe but are not permitted to post messages.

How to subscribe.

If you are a club executive, or committee member and would like to promote your club newsletter through AARNIE, you can subscribe by clicking the link at the top right of this page. Please be sure to include your name, call-sign and the club you represent. You may be asked further questions before you are allowed to post.
