PRR-9

This crystal controlled receiver is designed to clip onto the operators helmet.
The PRT-4 is the matching transmitter.

COMMENTARY

Built in the late sixties, the PRR-9 is a single channel crystal controlled VHF FM receiver, designed to operate in conjunction with the PRT-4 transmitter. Both transmitter and receiver are battery operated and are designed to clip onto the operator's helmet.

Audio is received either by the audio horn that directs sound towards the operator's ear, or a headset may be used. The receiver has a single control, the volume pot which doubles as on/off switch and the squelch control.

I know of several people who have successfully operated this equipment. Only one battery voltage is needed to operate the equipment.
