CONSOLE 4

The Console 4 provides the framework for the mounting of receiving and emergency transmission equipment. Station control facilities are also provided  for controlling of muting, preseslectors, PABX facilities, antenna selection and so on. There is also a 24Volt Battery Charging and Distribution Panel. The console doubles as an operating position. A bookshelf with a clock is mounted atop the console. A terminal panel underneath the table interfaces all the equipment of the station together, and also interfaces to the outside world for facilities such as PABX, alarm gongs, emergency light and so on.

All equipment in the Console is capable of operating from 24Volts DC. Transmission is set up such that the operator can set up the transmitter, actuate the autokey and vacate the radio room.
