Brief History;
  • First licensed 1979 in New Zealand as ZL2BKM
  • My work as a Coast Radio Station Operator took me to the Chatham Islands as ZL2BKM/C and later as ZL7BKM
  • I spent 12 months as the Base Radio Operator at Scott Base Antarctica as ZL5BKM
  • A move to Australia in 1992 (to escape the cold) changed my call to VK4BKM
  • Changed call to VK4WR late 2001

  • Operated as H44AL and YJ0DX and plan to spend more time in the South Pacific.
