FT-50R Modification

This mod will reduce the "off" current drain.

Warning: Advanced SMT re-work skills are essential to perform this modification.

Abbreviated procedure;

1. Remove Battery & 2 knobs
2. Remove NiCad sticker.
3. Remove 2 screws & remove keypad.
4. Lever up metal back plate (2 tabs either side) & remove from plastic shell.
5. Undo & remove nut on Dial/Vol pot.
6. Remove 3 screws.
7. Carefully separate PBAs.
8. Refer to overlay above.
9. Replace R2102 with 56k 0603 SMT resistor
10. Replace R2103 with 10k 0603 SMT resistor
11. Re-assemble as per resverse of above
