Welcome to the last edition of the news sheet for 2009.
On behalf of the committee I wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2010.

Christmas break up

At time of writing I am not sure if we can use the museum site on Saturday 12th due to an event held by the museum. When I find out for sure I will contact all members. So we may have to use an alternative location.

Nets

The Monday net and the Wednesday net will close after next week and will recommence late January 2010.

Squid Poles

The telescopic poles have arrived and nearly all have been sold so if you miss out don't despair more are on order.

Callbooks

The 2010 call books have been ordered (10 only) and should arrive in the next few days. Most have been pre ordered but there will be 3 or 4 available. Cost is $25.00.

Alternate Meeting Place

It was good to see a good turn up at the last meeting 18 I believe. We held the meeting in the museum lunch room as we can no longer use the room we had been using.

The committee is still looking for an alternate meeting places so if you find something please let us know. Bruce and I had a meeting with counciller Gail McPherson on Wednesday and she pointed us to a couple of possible locations.

Repeater

The repeater is now operating independent of 230v mains. The repeater is operating off battery which is charged by the solar panel. No reply yet from WIA re our application.

The club's website is now up and running thanks to Stuart.

That's all for this month
