Apart from the initial setup costs of the vat, heater etc, the ongoing costs are little more than $15.00 (AUS) per 30 740ml bottles (or as I do 60 375ml stubbies).

I use the Coopers brand of product and have had only a few failures. These are normally caused by things like, not keeping at recommended temp. (21 - 27 dg C), not cleaning bottles properly or not allowing enough time for the WORT (what they call the brew in the vat) to properly ferment. The basic directions are......

Go to it!!!
