Test Equipment at VK3CAE's... Very secondhand, not so secondhand and home brew.

Equipment in picture from top left to right...

Digital Capacitance Meter, 1pF resolution (EA project).
500MHz Digital Frequency Counter (EA project).
Sine & Square Wave Audio Signal generator (EA project)
LAB-4, 4 in 1 testset (power supply, sig gen, freq counter and DMM).

BWD 540 Dual trace, 100MHz Storage CRO.
Dual rail laboratory power supply 5 A / 15 V (analogue meter on top).
HP-606A RF Signal Generator (all tube but very good).
BWD 121 Audio Signal Generator (all tube and quite good).

HP-608E VHF Signal Generator

This HP-608E VHF Signal Generator was saved from the scrap heap earlier this year (2001). As you can see the covers came off and some work was required to get things back to spec. The 608E employs both vacuum tubes and silicon transistors in its design (hybrid construction). It covers from 10 MHz to 480 MHz in five ranges, with its calibrated attenuator and reasonable stability (after warm up), the 608 still proves to be quite a useful instrument. Works well as a bridge source for tweaking antenna systems as the output is more than +7dBm.

Items not shown:

- Fluke 23 and 75 digital multimeters.
- Tektronix LC bridge (very nice all tube mid 60's model).
- The old 1960's and 70's Leader LSG-11 RF signal generator.
- A Leader Grid Dip Oscillator (with coil set and wooden carry case)
- Various RF - HF, VHF and UHF power / SWR meters and Loads.
