The Manly-Warringah Radio Society (MWRS) is the Amateur Radio club serving Northern Beaches and North Shore areas of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. We’ve been “surfing the airwaves” since 1923.
If you are in or around Manly, Warringah, or Pittwater shires, and you're interested in ham radio communications, electronics, or technology in general, you're welcome to “catch a wave” with us any Wednesday evening from 7.30pm at the clubhouse in Terrey Hills.
See the Blog for details of upcoming lectures, outings, and special events.
The Society actively encourages “new blood” into the wonderful hobby of Amateur Radio. We provide training courses and exam certification to help members and friends attain their Amateur Radio licence, and to upgrade their skills and qualifications.
On the air, the society maintains a number of analog and digital voice and data repeaters, which are freely available for use by all Amateur Radio operators. We also get on the air for “nets” most days.
We also have numerous social events, radio expeditions, special event activations, and more.
All this for an annual club membership fee of just $35. You can download a membership form here.
