DX Farm Photos
This is a farm out near Bathurst that we visit to play radio, e.g. DXing and experimenting,
plus a bit of bushwalking, motorbike riding, astronomy and relaxing.
Radio wise mainly HF, VHF, UHF and SHF, trying to get a good collection
of antennas setup for doing experimenting and "field portable" DXing.
There is a 920m ASL mountain in the backyard, ideal for HF/VHF/UHF/SHF terrestrial & EME DX and contests.
Starting to have a decent setup for 28MHz, 50MHz, 144MHz, 432Mhz and 1296Mhz for terrestrial DX.
Maybe some even larger HF wire arrays too. Currently a 80metre Loop antenna and TH3 Yagi.
There are also some dishes for 23cm & 13cm EME activity.
A larger operating shack added December 2011.
Added 160m wire dipole and a 5.7GHz dish in 2012.
Added more microwave bands all the way up to 76GHz.
Other members of my local amateur radio club have also visited for long weekends, as well as locals from Bathurst and Orange.
Here are some recent photos:
