NSW Police Service


The NSW Police Service operates on the standard 64 UHF channels and various frequencies ranging from HF to UHF. The tables below show callsigns used on air, radio channels and vehicle markings.

The NSW Police Service use two sets of callsigns - one Local and one Regional. Local callsigns are put out as format (eg Wollongong 22 - General Duties for Wollongong area). Regional callsigns are put out as (eg Romeo 250 - Regional Highway Bike for R region). The table below shows the region 'L' denotes local while 'R' donotes regional.
