Welcome from VE9WIL

QTH: Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

My name is Will, which makes my callsign easy to remember. My interests are currently in 2m as all I have is a Yaesu FT-208R HT at the moment. I would like to add packet radio to the mix once the Linux 2.2 kernel stabilizes. This would allow me to use my soundcard as a TNC-like device with the addition of a small circuit to control the PTT button. Also, I am investigating a QRP 80m SSB kit radio being offered by a QRP club in British Columbia (on the other side of Canada). I already have 40m of copper wire for an antenna. :)

My qualifications include the Canadian Basic, Advanced and 5wpm CW certifications. If I ever attempt my 12wpm CW qualification, I will have all the qualifications offered to a Canadian ham.
