For scanner aficionados many of the US Federal & nearby State frequencies can be heard up here, just as easily as the nearby US amateur repeaters.
*As examples, VE7BVT (Bernie) has the feed for Elkford Fire Rescue available & someone in Trail has a Kootenay Boundary public safety feed online.
