Hello Steve, many thanks for the TX9 soundfiles. Fantastic to hear yourself on the other side. Sorry for the trouble getting your call on topband - but signals on my side were not that clear as on yours and had to fight with more QRN and QSB. 73s Dieter, DL3KDV - TX9

Loved the article and pics on the 80 m beam. Your methodology sounds solid as well as having the usual field measurement challenges. The hardware was stunning, especially the load coils. Good luck. n6iz

Hi, Steve. Great site. It was fun working your station on 3765 kHz tonight. Our QSO ranks right up there with the "folklore" that I tell people to explain "why amateur radio is fun"... I can point to that dodgy looking length of wire run down into the front yard in front of the apartment building and say, "I worked someone in Calgary with that!" As soon as I get my new QSL cards, I'll send one off to the great country of Canada.

Great Page ! Excellent build page, good photos and plots. You did a great job on analysis and construction. very impressing. Congrats !! Achieved F/B is surely helpful on dx (and more important). Guess that the real gain is about 1 db compared to a rotable dipole at same height after subtracting the groundgain.
