VE6AQE QSL Card
This is the QSL card that I received from the Queen Elizabeth Composite High School Radio Club in 1973.

The club station operator was Ken Mariannix who also helped start the club a few months earlier.

At the time, these blank postcards were given out free to Amateur Radio Operators by the Alberta Government Travel Bureau knowing that they would be sent out all over the world and hopefully promote travel to the area.

The cards are filled out with the Date, Time, Operating Frequency, Equipment Used, and other details pertaining to the radio contact that was made. Each station sends a card to the other station involved and then the cards are used as proof of the contact.

VE6AQE QSL Card When Ken commented that I had a "little chirp", I was just learning that you needed to connect a capacitor across the morse code key contacts to keep the transmitter signal stable. The problem was corrected soon after.
