Comments: Co-ordinators attended a second planning meeting to develop strategies and programs. Outlined operating paramaters for the SET.
Continued training for ARES Response and NTS traffic training on Oct 22/01.
2 of 4 training seminars prior to year end have been delivered by - Greg - KC8KUG/VE3 and Ken - VA3KEW.
Plans to participate in National SET in November, 2001.
Likely in Digital modes on HF (PSK31) and VHF (Packet/APRS)
NTS Liason Station - Ken - VA3KEW, no traffic to / from ARES group to the OSN and the OPN. Ken appointed as SGBWS ARES Net Manager, on Oct. 22/01
Digital Communications continue to develop in area. Local Packet Digi - REKDIG - provided by Darren - VE3REK, as well as a Packet BBS - VE3REK-1, on 145.070 MHz. Newer version of software installed.
Continued interest being shown in APRS for ARES work as well. Local plans and frequencies TBD.
Local stations now operating on PSK31, SSTV, RTTY.
SGBWS Emergency Manual completed and being delivered to members during the month of November.
