Kids of Steel Triathlon held on July 6, 2003. 3 Stations VE3LKI, VA3KNR, and VE3REK were in attendance to provide communications for the event. Net control was situated in a motor home at Gawley Park where the main events were taking place. 1 mobile station was moving around the course, and 1 station was positioned at a main intersection where traffic, cyclists and runners were all trying to converge. Operations wrapped up around 1200 hrs and net was closed down. First attempt was to use VE3SGB repeater located in Penetanguishene for the event, however simplex proved to be far more effective. NTS Liaison Station - Ken - VA3KEW, 0 traffic to / from ARES group to the OSN and the OPN. Local traffic = 0 message. OBS - VA3KNR - Doug, read 0 Bulletins.
