Permission to use the VE3TTB repeater, and ULR Link Systems for SGBWS ARES use. Commenced planning for ARES Response and NTS traffic training - Greg - KC8KUG/VE3 and Ken - VA3KEW are developing a program for early fall and winter presentations. Commenced planning for support of Terry Fox Run. Potential for up to eleven operators. Investigating potential involvement in National SET in November, 2001. Likely in Digital modes on HF (PSK31) and VHF (Packet/APRS) Appointed NTS Liason Station - Ken - VA3KEW, will represent our ARES group to the OSN and the OPN. Digital Communications being developed in area. Local Packet Digi - REKDIG - provided by Darren - VE3REK, as well as a Packet BBS - VE3REK-1, presently on 145.070 MHz. Interest being shown in APRS for ARES work as well. Local plans and frequencies TBD. |
