I am active on VHF, FM and SSB and spend a lot of my
time hanging out on the sideband calling frequency
of 144.200 Mhz (USB).

My current VHF equipment is comprised of a
Icom IC-271A All mode VHF

into a Mirage linear with 160 watts output
feeding one of two antennas:
- a (9 db gain on VHF) Comet tri-band omni
- a two element horizontal folded dipole
both antennas are 200 feet above ground.

I also have a VHF tube amp that uses a single
4CX350 and generates 175 watts FM and around
double that on sideband.
