Chinese Cultural Club – Newsletters Archive – Subject: Meeting Reminder – May 19, 2004

Dear CCC members, Wednesday, May 19, 2004.

The Chinese Cultural Club wishes to remind all members that there will be a meeting tomorrow. We encourage all members to attend. This will be our second last meeting for this school year. Members who enjoy making and sharing Chinese food or any food/snacks/beverages are more than welcome to do so at our meetings. CCC will use our raised funds to purchase Tim bits for the meeting tomorrow, first come first serve. Our agenda for tomorrow is to plan our social, talk about Dragon Boat festival, as well as other issues.

Reference Letter Information:

The Chinese Cultural Club administrative team has decided that reference letters will be provided after the last CCC meeting to any member who

1) Attend at least one (1) CCC general meeting

2) Have participated in at least one (1) CCC sponsored event/activity

(i.e. Multicultural Fair, Chinese New Year celebrations, Canadian Cancer Society’s Chinese Information Forum advertising and/or event, Canadian Cancer Society’s TV telethon, CCC karaoke, etc.)

The letter will include all meetings you have attended and activities/events in which you have volunteered for. We thank you for that. Please note that our record of attendance for the Chinese New Year celebrations (Wednesday, January 14, 2004) is not complete; therefore, if you have volunteered at the Chinese Calligraphy Challenge or Marble Pickup challenge, please e-mail to [email protected] so that we can up-date your records. Joint activities with the Student Activity Council on that day are not eligible.

Continuing the Chinese Cultural Club…it starts with you:

The Chinese Cultural Club is looking for anyone who wishes to run the club next year. We hope that members who will attend Markville next year will continue our commitment to raise the Chinese Culture and help out in the school and community. Please let us know if you are interested, or simply submit a club registration next year with the Student Activity Council.
