Dear CCC members,      Wednesday, April 28, 2004.

The Chinese Cultural Club wishes to advise that due to insufficient ticket sales, we will no longer be selling tickets.  However, we will now offer admission to all students at our school for FREE!!!  So come along and join us on Friday, April 30, 2004 from 3pm to 6pm in the cafeteria for some karaoke.  Both English and Chinese songs are available to accommodate everyone, so bring along all your friends.

What is karaoke?

Karaoke is a famous Chinese activity that involves singing on a microphone in front of an audience. Guests will have the opportunity to listen and if they wish, sing their favourite songs. At the Chinese Cultural Club, our goal is to enrich the Chinese culture and at the same time, to help out the community. This karaoke event will consists of the cafeteria, where our guests will be able to come, relax, listen and sing their favourite songs (Chinese and English) with friends and classmates and have an enjoyable evening, full of excitement.

Bought your tickets?  No problem!

If you previously bought your tickets from the Chinese Cultural Club table, we thank you.  The Chinese Cultural Club will gladly refund your full ticket purchase price during the event.  So when you come to karaoke, find Edward Choi to receive your full refund.

Signed up for volunteering at the event?

The revised karaoke plan will no longer require volunteers. We thank everyone who has signed up. We hope that you will enjoy the event.

Your opinion:

The Chinese Cultural Club wishes to have your opinion on what you want to go on at our club.  We have reviewed the suggestions back in December 2003 by our members; however, we want your opinions and suggestions now.  Whether it is improvements for our meetings, event/fieldtrip planning, we want to know!  Simply send in your suggestions to [email protected] or talk to us during the next meeting.  At the Chinese Cultural Club, we always want to make our events enjoyable and exciting for you.

Some members have indicated an interest in an exchange of Chinese food during our meetings.  That seems to be a great idea, and at this time, we will ask for approval for that.  Please visit our web site, stay tuned to your e-mails and visit our meetings for more information about that.

Next Meeting:

The next general CCC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 6, 2004.  We encourage all members to attend.  As always, our meetings are held in room 228 at 3:10pm after school.  Hope to see you there!
