February 5, 2004 – Meeting Minutes:

Chinese New Year (ROM Celebration) and Cities of China Presentation:

Thank you to Edward Choi for making a presentation on the Chinese New Year celebration at ROM by several CCC members with a video taken by Adrian Yee as well as other pictures. Also, a slideshow was shown with pictures of cities in China as a brief introduction to these cities. (Hong Kong, Beijing, Xian, Gulin & Shanghai).

Any other members who wish to make a presentation are more than welcome by arranging a meeting with us, at least a week prior to the planned presentation meeting date.

Suggestions from members:

Chinese Cultural Club values the suggestions and opinions of our members and continues to work towards a better club for everyone to enjoy. The following suggestions were made by our members:

Tracy Wu: The club requires more organization, respect the presidents

Roy Wong: The club is not very Chinese, should be more Chinese

The management of the club will consider these opinions and do what we can to improve. We will plan a meeting to discuss these and other issues. If any member has other suggestions or opinions, they are more than welcome to send an e-mail to [email protected] or talk to one of our presidents (Edward Choi, Johnson Tse or Simon Wong).

Next meeting:

The next meeting is planned for Thursday, February 19, 2004 with presentation on Chinese Politics by Simon Wong. We are also planning to announce a great event soon, so stay tuned to our meetings, announcements, e-mail and web site.
