You have to find a good way to anchor them for your particular application, but they do a wonderful job. I'd put them up against a number of full sized paddles (but certainly not all). You can find them at best wishes, dave belsley, w1euy --On Friday, August 30, 2002 10:19 PM -0400 Ralph Blach wrote: > Does anybody know who manufactures small light weight paddles. > > Thanks and 73 > > chip > kf4wbk ++++++++++++++++ Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 22:35:57 -0400 To: Ralph Blach , elecraft at mailman.qth.net From: Hank Kohl K8DD Subject: Re: [Elecraft] small light weight paddles Palm Radio Paddles are probably the best small light weight paddles I've seen or used. http://www.mtechnologies.com/palm/ eHam reviews at http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/1472 The Palm page http://www.ulmnetz.de/HANNES/english/english.htm includes adjustments and great pictures. 73 Hank K8DD +++++++++++++++++++ From: "Rod N0RC" To: "Ralph Blach" , Subject: Re: [Elecraft] small light weight paddles Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 20:47:38 -0600 Chip, Check out the new Porta-Paddle from American Morse Equipment: http://www.americanmorse.com I just got some, they are very nice and reasonably priced. Has anyone tried one of these keys with the > magnetic version of their 'Quick Mount'? I went for a hybrid approach. I used one magnet inside the K1 and one magnet in the mount to secure the front of the key holder. To support the rear, I ran a screw through the hole for the stand: http://www.moselle.com/~joberreu/mount.jpg http://www.moselle.com/~joberreu/k1.jpg Works fb. OTOH, I've found that I don't actually operate directly from the K1 all that much. It spends most of its time bedside wired to a free standing a Twinkey, and in the field I end up putting my palm paddles on a short extension and just holding them to my notepad while keying. 'Course I rarely operate from a table of any sort -- I'm usually in a tent or sitting on a fallen tree :). -- Jessie Oberreuter joberreu at moselle.com ++++++++++++++++ From: "Deinhardt, Toby" To: "'elecraft at mailman.qth.net'" Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2003 14:30:51 +0100 Subject: [Elecraft] sri - test I hate to waste bandwidth, but over an hour to forward a mail to the list ???? --__--__-- Message: 3 To: elecraft at mailman.qth.net From: n4so at juno.com Date: Mon, 20 Jan 2003 19:04:44 PST Subject: [Elecraft] Mini-Keyers, Mini-Paddles, Mini-Keys WHITEROOK Products has Mini-Keys, Mini-Paddles, and Mini-Keyers.
