At the moment the type-ahead feature is limited to just a few characters. But I have just had a look at the web site and I see that is due to be updated on Monday. 73 David G4DMP +++++++++++++++++++ Date: Sun, 9 Dec 2001 07:47:41 EST From: JohnK1JD at aol.com Subject: Re: [Elecraft] KIO2 and CW >Could someone tell me if the KIO2 can be used to send CW? The freeware program for the Kenwood TS570 (RCP570) works well in this regard. http://216.133.235.165/Amateur/RCPsoftware/TS570DRCP2/ 73, John K1JD Jamestown, RI IOTA NA31 K2's #139 & #583 +++++++++++++++++++ Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 09:48:02 -0000 From: bejones at hursley.ibm.com Subject: Re: [Elecraft] KIO2 and CW Dan the control program of the Elecraft site does fine. For CQWW I wanted the ability to send several precanned messages so wrote my own CW sending program. It was written in Delphi and totally trivial (took about 10 mins) simply using the KY command to send one of several text strings when the relevant button was pressed .Probably a snap to write in Visual Basic too. If anyone wants a copy I'll tidy it up but it really is pretty much a one-off hack. Brian G0UKB Brian E Jones Pervasive Computing Specialist IBM HURSLEY ++++++++++++++++++
