The AGC threshold voltage is determined by the voltage divider made up of RP6 and R1. If the +8 volt regulator is a little on the low side of its tolerance then you will not be able to reach 3.9 volts. 3.84 is probably close enough, but if you want to set it to 3.9 then bridge a resistor (51K-100K) across RP6 pins 3 and 4. Then adjust R1 for 3.9 volts Don Brown KD5NDB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leonard, David" To: Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 9:21 AM Subject: [Elecraft] K2 - Setting AGC Threshold Voltage > Hi last night I was going over my RF board Tests before moving on to the > next step(s). > > I was unable to get the proper 3.9 volt reading called for in step 5 on page > 46 of the manual. > > The maximum voltage I could get was 3.84 using my external DMM (a Radio > Shack DMM .. My K2 (sn 3254) reaches the max voltage of 3,86V. Welcome in the Club of low AGC Threshold voltage. Don Brown, thank you for your help in this case. tnx de Rene, DF8WA > Hello David. > I had exactly the same problem last night too ! > The maximum voltage I can read is 3.83 V with two > different DMM.
