When I hold the "rate/lock" button it goes into the memory/ store mode. I have done some of the simple things like visual inspection of components, pads and traces on the front panel board, I've re-heated some of the related pads, I've replaced the firmware 2.01f with 2.01h, I've checked continuity of the switch and to pin 14 of the IC then to pin 10 of the RP. Thanks for any help. -Larry AE6CP +++++++++++++++++++++ Date: Fri, 05 Jul 2002 08:22:16 -0700 From: Vic Rosenthal Organization: Transparent Software To: "Hagood, Larry" Cc: elecraft at mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Elecraft] odd k2 problem "Hagood, Larry" wrote: > > I have completed my K2 and all seems fine until I press the "Rate/Lock" > button Maybe you've installed RP1 on the front panel backwards? It goes to VCC. Each switch pulls the other side of a resistor low when it's pushed. If it's backwards, then pin 1 just goes to where pin 10 should be....the rate/lock button! This would cause ALL the buttons to act is if they are pushed when the rate/lock button is pushed. Vic K2VCO +++++++++++++++++
