Jason: Did you remember to remove the hardware from the mic connector before trying to attach the front panel to the board??? Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 07:40:58 -0500 Hi The buttons will not protrude at the top of the panel until the front panel is mounted to the RF board. The spacers that hold the panels together put pressure on the back of the front panel and make the buttons stick out properly. I called Scott at Elecraft and he is working on the problem. It seems that there may have been some front panels that were punched with the wrong size hole for the mike connector to go through. Jason: It's not totally clear from you pics how the alignment is setting up. The hole in the front panel should be large enough for the flange near the top of the mic connector to go through. From your pics it looks like the hole is hanging up on that flange, almost like the hole isn't large enough. Can you tell us whether the hole in the panel would indeed be large enough to accommodate the flange? thanks, dave belsley, w1euy --On Monday, May 19, 2003 12:14 AM -0400 Jason Hissong wrote: > Hi guys, -- snip -- ++++++++++++++++ From: "Dan Barker" To: "Elecraft" Subject: FW: [Elecraft] Front panel not aligning... Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 12:41:46 -0400 I carefully studied the art, and my radio, and Jason's front panel mic connector punch hole is just too small. It's reamer time (to get by until the new panel arrives). Dan / WG4S / K2 #2456 +++++++++++++++++
