Well, I found some and boy does it work great. Its called Chroma sound. If you have your rig close by your pc, you gotta try this. Listening to a very clean ssb 20 meter signal right now, no noise whatsoever with the Chroma sound working. Real clear channel quality.Without it, the sigs are just barely intelligable because of lots of adjacent frequency QRM. You can down load it for free. There is a nag screen that lasts about 30 seconds when you shut it down. For $50 and registration you can get rid of it. It sure deserves a try. Lots of options and very fleible. Try the DSP in/out test. Its remarkable. Here is the web site URL http://www.siliconpixels.com/csnd/csnd.htm and be sure to read the FAQs before you run it. 72 all Carl, K1KID ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Date: Sat, 17 Mar 2001 17:32:39 -0500 From: "Carl Bredberg, K1KID" Subject: [Elecraft] DSP continued Well the DSP works great on SSB but not so good on CW. Lots of DSP generated popping noises. According to the Chroma Sound FAQs I probably need to down load some full-duplex drivers for the sound card. Now to find them ....... Also it seems the SW shuts itself down after a some period of time and presents the nag screen, but will re start. Its good fun anyway for now and may even learn some more about DSP. 72 all Carl, K1KID ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
