It does FB (Fine Business). Has the same dB gain as the Super Antennas' MP-1 according to the chart results from HF-PACK's antenna shootout. www.superantennas.com - MP-1/MP-2 Super Antennas MP-1 costs $150, this PAC-12 by KA5DVS costs ~$9 - $15. I will be PM (Pedestrian Mobile) on Tuesdays and Thursdays; in the mornings before 8am and afternoons after 5pm; as soon as I get my Elecraft K2 PA transistors. I seem to use just 40m and 20m for operating HF. I will be using SSB (phone), since my expertise are not up on CW (morse code). I will be adding a page to my website on my version of the PAC-12, with pictures of course. See a page already up at: www.njqrp.org/pac-12/ This is KA5DVS' page. Using his Vectronics antenna analyzer first, we found that the antenna had a low SWR at CW; whip fully extended; on the 40m band with a ground dragging wire of 10ft. When we measured with the same band at SSB the SWR went high, until I removed the ground plane wire, then it (SWR) went to 1:1 ratio. The designer suggested that I use 'mobile.exe from an ARRL handbook to get the Total # of turns for 80m and 160m. 80m is approximately 200 turns and 160m is approximately 700 turns. -- snip -- Sincerely, Daniel kg4dni www.kg4dni.com - Webmaster
