The repeater is home brew and has been in trouble free operation
almost continuously for more than 25 years.
The license was obtained on December 4, 1975 and
the first QSO was March 12 1976 by Ralph Clifford VE3UG with Bernard
Burdsall VE3NB. The first autopatch call was Feb. 28 1977 by VE3UG.
This association of repeater supporters is composed of two groups,
Shareholders and Associate Members:
SHAREHOLDERS: Amateur operators
who recognize that to have an autopatch it is necessary to have the
equipment. Via the purchase of shares, they own a percentage of the
repeater equipment, such as antennas, transmitters, receivers etc.
There are 50 shares.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: Amateur operators who recognize
that the availability of an autopatch has an operating cost which is
worth supporting. Their donations provide the the funds to cover the
cost of operating and maintaining the station and autopatch.
Associate members are offered the opportunity to buy shares as
they become available, in the
order that donations are received in any year. All donors are given
the yearly control access codes for the autopatch.
