LESTER

RETIRED SOLDIER
AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR
BEE KEEPER

I became attracted to Radio Communications in my early teens, but did not acquire my first license until 1965 as VE2BEZ after obtaining some Heathkit equipment. Due to my Military Service with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals (1959 to 1993) I was moved around the country and the World, where I was licensed under VE1LS, DL5YM and VE6JL. I operated as a
portable station in Egypt and Israel during 1974 and 1976 with VE6JL/SU and VE6JL/4X4. I now hold the calls VE3HN, VE3IWU and in Barbados 8P6HN where I operate during the winter months. I'm also responsible for the licensing of VE3RCS, the Military Communication and Electronics Museum station.

After my retirement I now spend most of my free time with Amateur radio, Beekeeping and Sailing.
