Submit YOUR photos! Please include a short narrative and remember, pictures are MUCH more attractive if they have a PERSON in them. So, put yourself in FRONT of the camera, please. If you don't have access to a scanner, you can mail me the picture, which I will scan and return to you. (Email me for the mailing address.) Dave Lawrence, VA3ORP, makes a contact using a MkIII 19 Set mounted in a WWII 8 CWT Wireless Van at Oshawa, Ontario, June 9, 2001, during the Ontario Military Vehicle Association weekend. Although in very poor condition, the vehicle was actually driven across the grounds to this location by Frank Moore, VA3CGJ, who also supplied the 19 Set in the vehicle. Many thanks go to Frank for setting up that station, complete with telescoping vertical base antenna. Other contacts made were with Alan, VE3RIH, Toronto and Dave, VE3BBN, Niagara Falls. Of course, all contacts were CW.

Dave is seen while operating mobile, 19 set to 19 set, the other station being operated by Bob, VE3BDB, who was in the WWII wireless van. Dave operated his 19 out of the back seat of his Saturn automobile, chauffeured by Sue, VE3SUH. We're not sure why Dave had this expression on his face but we are positive it had nothing to do with the contents of the box behind him.

Bob, VE3BDB, operates from the wireless van. The station and vehicle attracted a lot of attention during the event.
