I've been licensed as VE3ABX since 1995 and started actively using this callsign in January 2001.
My involvement in Amateur Radio started much earlier though. I obtained my first license as SP6GBU in Poland (QTH Nysa) back in 1970, initially second category (VHF only) and then upgraded it to first category shortly thereafter.
My main interest is in HF, both casual contacts and DX chase. Morse code has always been my preferred mode of operation although I occasionally venture into voice.
Digital modes of operation only recently attracted me and I'm in a process of getting ready to try it also.
On a technical side my interest is mainly in antennas, with the goal of maximizing the effect while keeping them small and "not so visible" (just another name for "hidden").
Minimizing noise pickup is another goal and all this is simply a result of typical large city constrains on ham radio.
