The ultimate question to every DXpeditioner is: Where we go next?
ZONE II I had this question in mind since my last DXpedition back in january 2003.

Now I know the answer!!

I'll be a proud member of the CY9 St-Paul Island summer '05 DXpedition.

Few months ago I dreamed of CY0 Sable Is., now I'm going to St-Paul Is.

This show me how life could be unpredictable and how it is funny to be a licensed ham.

What a nice trip we will enjoy!!!

01/14/2003: The group have some problem with their car... so they have to stop to Labrador City. Thank you for the hospitality of VO2WL "Hams of Western Labrador" radio club who give the chance to operate the radio club station.

Hello! I decided to set a DXpedition to Zone 2 last month because, as far as I can remember, I've always wanted to go to Labrador and see how it looks like. I asked Gervais, VE2UE, if it will be possible to go with him for his next trip to Labrador because Gervais is well known by lots of VE2's for several activation from that place. He gave me a positive answer and told me about the possibility of going there next summer.

I was so excited about that! Fortunately, he called me on 80 meters to tell me that we could go there by the mid-january. So that's the reason why it looked like a last-minute DXpedition to Zone 2. Our crew was Gervais VE2UE who operated as VO2UE, Gerald VE2ACP who also operated with the call VO2UE and Steve VE2TKH who operated VO2ZT (after just-in-time confirmation by Industry Canada). Our location was VO2WL ''Hams of Western Labrador'' Club station from Labrador City, Labrador in Zone 2.

Operation dates were  January 13,14,15,16,17. Bands were 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 40, 80 & 160 meters depending on propagation and time of the day. TX phone frequencies were around 28.495 to 28.510 Mhz, 24.935 to 24.945 Mhz, 21.280 to 21.295 Mhz, 18.135 to 18.150 Mhz, 14.190 to 14.210 Mhz, 7.060 to 7.085 Mhz, 3.785 to 3.800 Mhz and 1.840 to 1.845 Mhz and some CW by GeraldAntennas used were Beams, Verticals, Slopers and Dipoles. We  operated with power supply and batteries. Hours of operation were between 13:00 UTC and 05:00 UTC, but some exceptions happened. Best 73's de Steve, Gerald and Gervais.
