Virginia Beach Emergency Amateur Repeater Society
VBEARS

VBEARS is an organization dedicated to the operation and upkeep of several voice and data amateur repeaters.  It is not affiliated with VBARC.  For more information, contact Linda Crawford  KI4LO 497-1235.  The suggested donation to become a member is $12 annually, however, these are open repeaters and you do not need to be a member to access these repeaters.  Members receive the benefit of autopatch and voice mail.  And they receive the satisfaction of financially supporting the repeaters they are using.  All users may access the police and fire emergency phone numbers.

When the call is complete, press the # (pound sign) key to hang up.  Then announce your call sign, and that emergency third party traffic with the police department is complete.
