Welcome To The Hastings County ARES Webpage.

This page has been set up to keep ARES members informed about what is up and to encourage Radio Amateurs in Hastings County to join HCARES. We also encourage Radio Amateurs in other areas to join their local ARES group. If there is no ARES group in your area, why not start one? Here in Canada, you should contact the Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) if you wish to start an ARES group.



ARES Net

The Hastings County ARES group holds a weekly net Monday at 2000 Eastern time on VE3KFR 145.330 MHz located in Campbellford. VE3QAR 146.985 located in Belleville will be connected via IRLP . All stations are welcome to join.



The Weather

Reminder to ARES members to be aware of the weather, Environment Canada has excellent weather information at their websites and on weather radio frequencies. ARES often gets called during or after severe weather events and severe weather warnings should be a heads up to the possibility that you may be needed.
